Introduction to Arvelle
Arvelle Therapeutics is an emerging biopharmaceutical company focusing on CNS. The company has an exclusive licensing agreement with SK Biopharmaceuticals to develop and commercialize cenobamate across Europe. Cenobamate is a potential novel anti-seizure medication for the treatment of focal-onset seizures in adult epilepsy patients.
 
Arvelle’s mission is to bring innovative CNS treatments to patients suffering from serious neurological disorders.
 
In preparation for the European launch of cenobamate, Arvelle has established its HQ in Switzerland and is setting up local teams across key European launch markets. On top of that, the company establishing a Shared Service Center (SSC) based in Amsterdam. Arvelle has a total of 80 employees in Europe and the US and we will expand into over 200 employees in the next 1,5 years.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Interim Masterdata Specialist
In this responsible and varied interim position, you are co-responsible for the company-wide daily operation of Masterdata management within the Arvelle Shared Service Center (SSC). The Master Data Specialist is accountable for development, delivery, and management of master data within the functional areas of Finance and Indirect Procurement. In this responsibility you will implement processes to ensure data integrity, data quality and change management and establishes and meets Global and/or Regional conditions and business requirements. You will liaise with other functions within or outside of Arvelle to ensure up-to-date data standards. Where required you will support audit questions and other SSC processes.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Responsible to develop, implement and manage Master Data within the specified functional areas
  • Accountable to work with stakeholders in the functional areas to define standard data
  • Identifies gaps between the existing Master Data elements and the required Master Data elements
  • Ensures the standards are maintained in the MDM application(s)
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and introduce innovative recommendations, factoring in customer needs, external approaches, data analytics, as well as industry best practices. Executes data cleansing & data conversion
  • Validate, edit, track data quality for MDM data records, including Tax/VAT coding
  • Ensures that defined KPIs levels are tracked and addressed by management
  • Ensuring and reviewing data quality, identifying impacts across systems, and coordinating with other MDM activities to ensure data development and maintenance remain consistent
  • Define requirements, organization, standards, policies and processes to ensure data quality for the assigned business process (incl. Segregation of Duties)
Your experience and knowledge
  • Excitement about the vision and mission of Arvelle
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant area
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP Business One experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with superior attention to detail
  • Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Stress resistant (handle tight timelines)
  • Flexible and pro-active attitude, can-do-spirit
  • English fluency required, Dutch or other European languages is a plus
  • Must have the necessary work permits to work in the Netherlands
